To provide loving assistance, emotional and financial support for women and girls who find themselves in a crisis

The  Essence of 1st Way is love ...

  • We believe that the most important commodity we have to offer pregnant women and girls is ourselves

  • We offer love and understanding to all who call upon us for help

  • We believe in the sanctity of life:

    • The life of the baby as well as the mother

  • We further believe that there is never a reason to offer destruction as an answer to an unplanned pregnancy

At 1st Way ...

  • We are a person-to-person organization based on the belief that no problem is so great that it warrants destruction of an innocent life

  • If you decide to keep your baby, we are prepared to offer you support in various ways including a baby layette containing many things a new baby needs such as:

    • diapers

    • clothing

    • bedding and

    • bottles

  • If necessary, we can locate a shelter home where you can stay for the duration of your pregnancy

  • If you choose adoption, we will refer you to one of several licensed and reputable adoption agencies in the area

  • Free and confidential pregnancy testing

  • Information on pregnancy and fetal development

  • Ongoing counseling and emotional support for support for clients and their concerned family members and friends

  • Parenting classes

  • Shelter homes for expectant mothers

  • Referrals to resources and other agencies

  • Maternity and baby supplies

  • Adoption information

  • 24 hour hotline

  • Support, friendship and love as you go through an extremely emotional time in your life
