flyers at your churches with the permission of the pastors. Scheduled
times are from (9:30 am to 12noon; 12noon to 4pm; 4pm to 8pm) Wednesday,
Aug. 4 through Sunday, August 8th.

We are in need of a 9x12ft. rug for the booth and bottled water. Any
assistance to help at this year’s fair booth is greatly appreciated.
Last year we gave out over 600 balloons to the children and shared 1st
WAY’s services with all who stopped by the booth.

1st Way Information
Our purpose is to advise women of their alternatives to abortion. 1st
Way provides a free and confidential pregnancy test. If the client
decides to keep her baby, we offer support in various ways including a
baby layette containing many things a new baby may need such as diapers,
clothing, bedding, and bottles. If necessary, we can locate a shelter
home. If our client chooses adoption, we refer her to licensed adoption
agencies.
1st Way is a chartered chapter of National Life
Center. We are a pro-life, interdenominational pregnancy support
service. We provide various free confidential services to women and
girls in McHenry County. We are staffed solely by volunteers and do not
engage in political activities.
We were founded in 1978 under the "Birthright"
name. In 1994, we changed our charter and name to 1st Way Pregnancy
Support Services. 1st Way is an Illinois non-profit corporation
registered with the Charitable Trust and Solicitations Bureau of the
Illinois Attorney General's office (CO# 01-027,349) and is a section
501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization for IRS tax purposes.
1st Way offers many, many years of experience
in this service and prides itself in "loving them both", mother and
baby.
